So far, Lily has been happy to run around with her imaginary friends all over the garden (staying off the beds!) which is good enough.<BR/><BR/>The cardboard is a good weed suppressant. There isn't too much vegetation in the lot right now, nor was there previously. I've just found a wood chips hookup so that combined with a couple layers of cardboard will prevent anything from coming up in the walkways. With so much square footage, I'm making sure I proactively manage weeds.<BR/><BR/>Cardboard is also very effective for bringing worms to the surface, and I've heard that the glue in corrugated cardboard can be healthy for your soil.
